Tales on the Trails: A new initiative combines storytelling and the outdoors

The Greater Sudbury Public Library, in partnership with Conservation Sudbury and Rainbow Routes Association, present a new initiative called Tales on the Trails. This Story Trail is for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and families who are looking for a new way to experience the outdoors.

LIN GIBSON RE-ELECTED CONSERVATION ONTARIO VICE-CHAIR FOR 2014/2015

Conservation Sudbury-Nickel District Conservation Authority (N.D.C.A.) Chairperson Lin Gibson was re- elected to the Board of Directors of Conservation Ontario (C.O.) at the Annual C.O. meeting that was held in Toronto as one of the two Vice-Chairs for 2014-2015.


FRIENDS OF LAKE LAURENTIAN RECEIVES HEALTHY COMMUNITY RECOGNITION AWARD

The Healthy Community Recognition Awards took place Wednesday, March 26,2014 at Bryston's On the Park. The Healthy Community Advisory Panel presented Friends of Lake Laurentian with a Healthy Community Recognition Award. Lin Gibson Chairperson of Conservation Sudbury was present to accept the award.


N.D.C.A. HOLDS ANNUAL SPRING RUNOFF MEETING

Sudbury ... The Nickel District Conservation Authority (NDCA) held its annual Spring Flood Contingency Planning meeting yesterday, March 19th, at Tom Davies Square. Many organizations and agencies were represented at the meeting to discuss preparations for the upcoming Spring runoff.

Representatives from the City of Greater Sudbury's Infrastructure, and Emergency Services departments; Greater Sudbury Police Services; Union Gas; VALE; Domtar; Ontario Power Generation; Ministry of Natural Resources, etc., attended the meeting. 


Conservation Sudbury -N.D.C.A. ELECTS OFFICERS FOR 2014

Sudbury.... Linda (Lin) Gibson was re-elected Chairperson of Conservation Sudbury- Nickel District Conservation Authority (N.D.C.A.) and Greater Sudbury Source Protection Authority (G.S.S.P.A.) for 2014. Mark Signoretti was elected Vice-Chair for 2014. The elections took place at the Annual General Meeting held on January 16th.

Lake Laurentian Conservation Area is open for passive walk-through only recreation. Groups must be from the same household.
